BOBI FRS large undertaking thresholds updated for 2026
The Public Oversight Authority updated the BOBI FRS large undertaking thresholds, increasing total assets to TRY 1 billion and annual net sales to TRY 2 billion.
The Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority decision published in the Official Gazette dated 9 May 2026 amends Article 5 of BOBI FRS on large undertakings.
Entities remain classified as large undertakings when, together with subsidiaries and associates, they exceed at least two of the three thresholds in two consecutive reporting periods. The asset threshold rises from TRY 800 million to TRY 1 billion, while the annual net sales threshold rises from TRY 1.6 billion to TRY 2 billion.
The changes apply to accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026. Turkish subsidiaries, groups and audit teams should revisit BOBI FRS classification, consolidation scoping and reporting calendars using the updated thresholds.
